intelligent religious people are not the problem.

the problem is that religion as a business model does best with fanatical customers. you know, like people camping outside of the apple store or trader joe's.

so the unregulated untaxed religion business in america breeds literal-minded hordes, blind to doubt or criticism, self-righteous and cognitively closed to any other perspectives, so that they are willing to keep giving their money.
