I've appreciated all PJ Harvey's music post-White Chalk. She does seem determined to continue exploring her 'wistful Victorian woman' character, rather than evolving drastically from one album to another, and I probably would enjoy a change of theme, however I respect her as an artist and know that she'll always have something interesting to say.
These later albums do feel less vital, though there's a kind of 'back to nature' conservatism to her later work that's interesting and uncommon.
