It's one of the most creative records I've ever heard. It's simply amazing that someone could think these tracks up. 10 outta 10 >>Perfect

I think a thousand leaves comes close, though it's obviously more stretched-out and "mature". It still evokes that autumny vibe to me.

This I agree with. Neither are near my FAVORITE SY album. But these are the two SY albums I play the shit out of during Autumn. (also obviously EVOL and a bit of Washing Machine)

It was my first sonic youth record a few years back (along with evol). Evol was just so immediately engrossing and BMR so tough to get into that I kind of forgot about it. this summer I forced myself to listen to it a couple times, and on the second listen through, laying in bed after a sonic youth show, when ghost bitch ended, I realized it was their best album. Not my absolute favorite, but their best. I'm actually scared of its subtle genius. Every listen through uncovers a new layer of soundscape and emotional dynamics.

"Halloween" is one of those SY songs I could listen to over and over and over again.

This was my second Sonic Vinyl together EVOL and Dirty (I ordered from the musicshop also Sonic Death-cd, it came, but instead of Dirty I ordered Dirty Boots-ep, but somehow they sent me Dirty, that didnīt bother me, because I was going to buy it someday anyhow. I just bought Dirty boots later). You can imagine, in which one of these I was most excited about (I had Dirty already in cassette). But I liked Bad Moon Rising also already then. I think thereīs already something that "burst out" in EVOL, but there is also something from Confusion. I have said earlier that all the first three albums (I count the first ep on this) have something different and that kind of things SY never did again. Bad Moon Rising is quite harmonic, even the noise in it just doesnīt hit you like it do in Confusion. In some net-pages it is described as a "masterpiece of american degeneration". I donīt know, is it correct description, but there is some very specific feeling that isnīt any other album. And I truly think, it has the best SY-cover (I made t-shirt of it, so shame I donīt have it anymore)!!! And it has also best finale song of SY lp:s (Death valley ī69). Itīs also very strong entity. Although Ghost Bitch and Justice is might are not very strong songs, they fit in that albumsīs mood very well and itīs hard to me think the album without them.
