Jim DeRogatis. Ham-fisted and whole-ham-swallowing. Highly personal style, which is good if you're possessed of actual writing skill. He's not... an overwhelming vindictiveness falling like candy from the ugly pinata that was his childhood and adolescence, yes, that he has in spades. Called Steve Shelley the weak link in his band. Says it all. Ned Raggett--Fair, funny, knows when to let his words breathe. States his likes and dislikes without giving off the air that he's either a total kiss-ass or a raging bastard.
