now that i think of it in those days i might have been into a previous decade-- yes, king crimson, etc. i had much older cousins who would feed me that stuff.

good thread. i've always been one to actually have a "favorite band" so you won't see more than one option per year. They most definitely were the following:

1981 - The Beatles
1991 - Sonic Youth
2001 - Ween
