Here is the first ever image of one of our spaceships hanging from a paarchute on it's way down to another planet. The mars orbiter took this image of the Pheonix lander sunday morning as it made the entry and descent onto mars, after a year and a half of travel. It landed safely

Asteroids was the utter inspiration methinks for the glorious special effects asteroid field sequence in Star Wars ESB...

deluxe has the shields, but also the annoying geometic thing at the end of each board/screen. then there's blasteroids too and although it's fun, it's not a vector game

always liked Amstar's/Centuri Games' Phoenix too...

this is fucking awesome-- some smart machine sent by humans looking at a planet millions of miles away. someday we might be living on that planet, or at least mining it, or who the fuck knows what?

what i personally find so cool about this is that the lander is specifically looking for signs of life. spiders from mars!!

three failed missions, two upon mars entry, ten years worth of egineering HELL, thousands u[pon thousands of man hours, do you know what it takes to MAKE one of these things? It takes over a year and half to get to Mars, we can only launch things to mars in a 2 month window every two years.
