Still love SY, but the band being defunct seems to have left the place hollow.

Texas is nice. The people are friendly. The drivers are a little nutty. They don't like to use turning signals but people don't honk that often surprisingly.
I'm starting to feel like this is home, where I want to stay.

You're in Australia? Whereabouts? I look at maps a lot.
I'm near Fort Worth, closer to Alvarado. Kind of on the outskirts but not the actual country. That's great. I visited Austin and loved it, but the traffic seems insane. And yes Peterpuff Dallas drivers have a notorious reputation

I’m in Melbourne. It’s beautiful here and the weather isn’t nearly as hot as Texas; although, it does get hot (110f) sometimes during the summer, and there’s little to no air conditioning in rental houses (like mine).
I miss Texas, and my wife REALLY misses Texas, but I doubt that I’ll ever move back to the States. I’m applying for Aussie citizenship soon. Pls help. Send me tacos and BBQ. |

Ft Worth though... back when I lived in (North) Dallas, Ft Worth was full of nothing but cattle. You like cows?

I couldn't live here without a/c in the summer. I'll be applying for American citizenship eventually.
And yes I can see why you'd miss barbeque- it's great, especially the brisket. And one of my fave things in Fort Worth is this steakhouse we frequent for special occasions. MMMM MEAT

Enjoyed one of the best bone in ribeyes I’ve ever had at Ruth’s Chris this past weekend. I normally season and grill my own steaks at home......this was worth every $$ My wife and I were celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary. |
