I met his attorney once. He was supposed to be staying at the hotel, too...but didn't. Did see some faxes that came in for 'em though...his attorney ended up taking them for him.

Well...then it was in Warner Robins, GA.
He's from Milledgville or Hawkinsville (both relatively close)...can't remember which for sure.

sway, do you actually listen to hip hop? I've never even seen you mention the existence of hip hop before I don't think. But I'd think it hard to live in such an area and not be exposed to it.
My sister lived in ATL for 2 yrs. And she'd always be sending me txt msg's about like "oh there's a free Ludacris concert a few blocks away" or "there's a big Gucci Mane party going on cuz he just go released" but she had ZERO interest in hip hop so wouldnt attend. And I'd wish I was there.

Gucci Mane I know next to zero about....
And Jeezy DEF is not from Atlanta...but it makes sense that he claims to be, being that the rest of the world hasn't heard of the place he is from, and Atlanta is the nearest city w/ a name most would recognize.

yeah that sort of thing bugs me personally. I have seen bands from around here in magazines and it says they're a "Boston band" but Boston is an hour away. It's like dudes, just say where you're actually from.

I like some stuff, but generally it is not my cup of tea...no. I really enjoy Biggie for some reason (SOME times), and I asbolutely love Mos Def and some of that Dark Star stuff. Beastie Boys from time to time. And of course some of that old school low rider Dre/Snoop/Ice Cube stuff can be fun every once in a while...mainly just because it just reminds me of being a kid. I used to love Busta Rhymes, mainly because I found him to be really "weird"...esp. when "woo ha" came out. But again, hip hop is something I never really dove too deep into. I def am not ignorant toward it though. But yeah, being near Atlanta I've seen/met a couple people. I didn't talk to him, but I saw Andre 3000 walking around little five points (part of Atlanta) once. The people I was with took a couple of pics, and said hey. When I was working in Perry (yet another hotel...) I met 8 ball + MJG...and on another occasion Little Jon and the Eastside Boyz. They were doing shows out at Fort Valley State College. 8 ball + his crew rented nearly an entire floor....+ the entire floor smelled VERY strongly of pot. haha

that's cool. Mos Def is awesome. I have most of his stuff. Do you have his album called THE NEW DANGER? You'd probably like it. Lots of guitars -- it's pretty interesting.
Biggie is the shit. Did you see Notorious? It was really good. it's also hilarious to me that a "non-rap fan" would know who 8Ball & MJG are. Haha. So yeah I'd say yr not ingnorant to it.

I haven't heard that album, but will def. be checking it out at yr suggestion. + I enjoyed Notorious. Even owned it for a minute. The city I grew up in from 7th grade until I graduated, was some 60 something percent black. The Middle School was something like 78 percent black. I was pretty much (lame, I know...this was the 90's) the only kid there wearing Nirvana tees + ripped jeans, sans one or two other kids that were more into shit like AC/DC. By the time I got into HS (this school was merged w/ another nearby city in the same county) the racial percentages evened out a bit...but it was still VERY hip hop/rap (theres a difference between the two in my mind) driven. Maybe 10 punk/weirdo kids in the whole place. That city...Fort Valley, GA...well, it's one of the most awful places on earth. Not because of hip hop, but between old white money, and poor black people...racial issues existed abound. If yr ever in that general area drive AROUND that place.

hmm. Try google... Jeezy's Trap Or Die 2 from earlier this year was as good as any of his studio albums proper.
