My ipod is only 4GB and it was a present. I think it's fine because I only ever listen to it walking to school which takes 15 minutes. If it dies then I wouldn't really care much.
I do find it sad when people rely so much on a crappy electronic device. Some people talk about their ipod dying like it was a close member of their family that died. |

the crappiest is when you are at a party and someone is playing songs through their Ipod and every other song comes on at a different master level cuz of the variances in MP3 bitrate and shit,a nd it is either too loud or too soft or some shit. ruins the flooooowwwwwww

Sorry to hear that, dude. At least it was only 2500 songs. I lost my entire library this past summer (I think around 20,000 songs) and spent two and a half months re-downloading and re-ripping my CD's. Shit blows, but at least now I have everything backed up on an external HD and a bunch of DVD-R's in case the HD fails.

I'm not saying that it doesn't have problems, I'm just not seeing what you had mentioned as really a problem. (The smile says I'm happy. See? I'm happy.)

i'm on a mission to listen to all of my cds and records without playing an album twice. i have listened to 173 albums in the last few weeks (about 10%)... long way to go, but crawling through my collection finding hidden gems has been fun. |

Today, I felt like such a "cool kid" because my brother and his girlfriend and I exchanged music on our Zunes.
