Some of us remember the post linking the page where his house in Cambridge was put up for sale.
Starting today, Syd Barrett's personal items are up for bid at http://www.liveauctioneers.com/catalog/11121 There are seventy-seven items. Both his bikes, which he had used every day in Cambridge for visits to the local shops and pub were hand painted by Syd and will be included in this sale as will several pieces of furniture which Syd customised or made himself. Other items of note are some paintings and art materials, notebooks, and a book collection. |

I've got Syd's bike, I can ride it if I like....
Edit: Looks like one of them really does have a basket, a bell that rings and things to make it look good. |
