I heard about this yesterday. What can anyone say? Life's a killer, at least so says Burroughs, I suppose the bottom line is that James Brown made some really good music and influenced countless people, honestly almost too much of the soul/funk genre can be traced back to him. Without Mr. Brown, the whole genre of hip hop would be completely different and wouldn't have half of the drum breaks and samples that have made many of the songs great. That being said, I feel for his family and close friends. As far as his fans go, well I'm one of them and I suppose its not all too shocking, considering the lifestyle he had lived and his age, regardless the best way to remember him is by queing up ''The Payback'' or ''Hell'' in your musical device. Oh and remember him like this:
