my parents are screaming at each other upstairs, while installing a new air conditioner. i know my mom can be difficult sometimes, but my stepdad has a bad temper, so combined, it's not very cool. I came home after returning a Sun Ra video to my local indie video store, and came home to my stepdad yelling in Chinese at the top of his lungs, something like, "How do I know where the screw went? You were supposed to look after that!". I went into the kitchen and made myself some coffee, and read my mom's Netflix promo offer. She has perfect credit, so everyday companies mail her offers that would be amazing, if only she cared. Today it was Netflix offering her 10 free rentals just for trying out the service, plus a discount on new releases. God, am I jealous. One day I saw in the mail a letter from a credit card company saying she could spend a year in a hospital, and they would pay her up to $130,000. I think she should take them up on that, because I think she and my stepdad are slowly going crazy. God, I didn't know if i should've called the cops or not, both of them are wielding semi dangerous tools if used in the wrong context. between them, there are hammers, screwdrivers, and not to mention scissors. i hate their arguing, my stepdad wearing nothing but his underwear while we eat dinner! i sometimes picture him lunging at me like a vicious tiger, like one minute he's just going to snap at me for being lazy, unmotivated, unscholarly, or tasteless.
"you keep me coming home again you keep me coming home again" word, good news tho' Blue Cheer is playing near where I live in June! Plus i'm either seeing Dungen or Bardo Pond next week? plus tomorrow i'm moving into my new apartment, finally getting out of my parent's house. i'm going to be so poor tho, for at least this week, i might have to eat dinner with them for this week, until i get my paycheck. |

hmm, i don't mean to be a hippie about it, but i'm going to get a rice cooker and eat rice with seitan and peas and carrots. i'm gonna drink ginger beer with that too at my new place. mmm. frozen peas and carrots are cheap, and so is canned seitan that you can get at Asian stores.

Yay! I am in my new apartment in Sunderland, Massachusetts, and am currently listening to Six Organs of Admittance. I believe this album is called The Manifestation, and the first track is simply amazing. Things I listened to today: Be Your Own Pet, Joe Frank, Blue Cheer. My friend Jonathan is seeing Boris tonight play with someone else i forget whom, at the Middle East in Boston. He and I just moved into separate new apartments in the last couple of days. I did my moving today. I am pretty much all settled into my new place. The room needs decorating, but so far I can use all of the things in the kitchen that are my roommate's, including pots and pans, and utensils which rocks so hard. I have tickets to both Dungen and Bardo Pond, but everybody's been telling me to go see Bardo Pond. I thank thee, and shall let you know that they played an incredible set at Terrastock this year. Plus they hung out the next day after they played and enjoyed the other bands just like everyone else. I only wish I could get their records and CDs easier. I downloaded set and setting from iTunes and I have their Buck Paco split 12" which is pretty darned cool.

my stepdad is a thoroughly shell-shocked retired seabee master chief atheist vietnam vet that saw ridiculously heavy action & my mother is a crazy italian brainwashed fundamentalist christian that now hates catholics that can't even remember my name the last time we spoke.
my stepdad is silent until violent and molested my poor niece & my mother is living in a fantasy world of complete denial about both that & just about everything else. ....& yet people have the unmitigated gall to remind me that blood is thicker than water whilst they chide me for not talking to either in the last 11 years or so. that barq's root beer (youthoftommorrow*) got me thinking about gulfport/biloxi excuse me |
