I went to my favourite record store in South Wales (Non-RSD Affiliated)
and picked up for under £30. Went to the overpriced RSD Affiliate close by and bought nothing. Sonic Youth - 4 Tunna Brix Faust - So Far Wire - Chairs Missing Miles Davis - Get Up With It Able Tasmans - A Cuppa and A Lie Down |

RSD in NYC was washout for me. Next year I won't even make any plans at all around it. I went by Kims at 10:30 and most everything was already gone. (should I have dropped $50 on the YLT Jim Woodring thingy to flip to collector nerds?). I then walked over to Other Music but the line was around the corner and 30 people down the block. When I went back at 3:30 the line was still to the corner. I could have travlled out to the Brooklyn but those stores are way out there.
And then Monday Kim's announced it is closing. This is really depressing me. Its a kind of genocide being perpetrated against the e.vil - because genocide is not simply mass murder, but the destruction of a culture. Whether its community gardens or bookstores or performance spaces, nothing is allowed to withstand the withering blast of transient luxury. |

Bardo Pond sucks, whatever makes that woman think she can sing is beyond me. And I am usually real forgiving of female vocalists. Playing is great, but the vocals go on and on and on and on and on

oh no no no, if anything, for Bardo, the slower and sludgier is better, and staying away from 4x4 rock tendencies - Hash Jar tEmpo being an example, iduclio said "such a dissapoint after last years RSD" it was a good one, now I need to hear this years! |

This. It's really pissing me off. I got to the first record store at 9:40. AND they didn't have much left....all I really wanted was te nivana. Single. And especially after the fucking headache with Japan's RSD....I don't want to participate.... |
