yeah, i know it's not the best one, the jamaican dragon stout is way better, but porters and stouts can be hard to find and expensive, while guinness is always available and you can make "strong juice" out of it |

Off topic, but, is there any way westernqui... might possibly be a candidate for permanent banning from this site? This is unacceptable.

Some time ago we went to a fancy pub and tried some stupidly expensive imports. Krombacher dark was pretty nice, but not that far from guinness. A friend had some chocolate flavoured (dark ale I think) which was interesting but not really for my taste.
I just drank a can of newcastle brown ale, which here is a pricey for a supermarket beer, good but not worth the money. |

Bass Pale Ale is definately my beer of choice, with Guinness at a close second.

I haven't drank a single micro brew that I'd consider better than a good glass Guinness. A bad glass of Guinness? That's a different story. It's a beer that can vary a lot depending on whether it's from a keg, can, or bottle. Right now my favorite is SkullSplitter scotch ale. Reading this thread I see a lot of Pilsner love. I was expecting more Belgian and British Isles love. Personally, I really like: SkullSplitter McEwan's Tetley's Boddington's Guinness Bass Leffe Hooegarten Kronenbourg 1664 Franziskaner Dunkel Weiss |
