I lost 2 friends same way...one had a harsh medical diagnosis, which has a good survival rate, but sometimes bad side effects (early stage prostate cancer), the other was going thru divorce. Proximity to handgun the common factor..first guy was a “collector”, 2nd needed one for “family protection”

We retain the right to keep and bear arms for the primary purpose of resisting any government......especially our own......and to defend our persons and property.

Arguments against civilian weaponry based on efficiency fails because the whole point of the right to keep and bear arms rests on civilians being comparably armed to the agents of said government. Limiting the efficiency of firearms compared to the governing entity WILL guarantee the growth of and abuse by said entity.
