Feature Films
Mala Noche (1985) Drugstore Cowboy (1989) My Own Private Idaho (1991) Even Cowgirls Get The Blues (1993) To Die For (1995) Good Will Hunting (1997) Psycho (1998) Finding Forrester (2000) Gerry (2002) Elephant (2003) Last Days (2005) Paranoid Park (2007) - Filming I didn't put Paranoid Park or Mala Noche in the poll as i can only have 10 options. sorry. My favourite is Elephant, its tough to choose between My Own private Idaho and Elephant, but i didn't like the script for My Own Private Idaho very much, The acting however was great! |

definitelly drugstore cowboy. I just love how he captured that typical atmosphere of oregon in america in 70ties + story is nice (not really action but anyway...) + burroughs is in it.

hard to say-- i havent' seen them all.
from the ones i've seen, i'm split between my own private idaho and to die for. nicoke kidman in to die for is absolutely fucking fantastic-- proof that the bitch can act! ha ha no, she's no bitch, but she's got a lot more than just beautiful skin & a lovely face and this movie demonstrates it. however, my own private idaho is a more interesting movie when you remove the actor factor. bigger cast, wonderful story, well-told, some excellent shots... i'd have to rewatch that since i haven't seen it for years. i havent seen drugstore cowboy. cowgirls was a fucking debacle, a disaster of a movie. forrester was nice, but too telegraphed i think... good will hunting i don't even wanna bother. call me prejudiced. same with psycho. how dare he???? it's like setting yourself up for failure. it's like... colorizing the original movie, for fuck's sakes. haven't seen elephant either. i might. |

Probably Drugstore Cowboy is his best film, but I have a weird fondness for To Die For. Maybe because I have a total crush on Illeana Douglas.
