Damn Pan's Labyrinth was depressing

So falsely advertised and the fantasy scenes - the few that were there - were all spoiled in the ads and reviews. What's the big deal? Maybe a second viewing is what I "need".

I saw it on the same night as I did Children of Men (theater hopping is always fun) and I prefered Children of Men.

But Pan's Labyrinth was okay although I do agree that there wasn't as much fantasy as I expected or hoped for.

children of men has more flash value, but it's ultimately less interesting and more predictable, yet-another dystopian fable with apocalyptic/religious overtones (baby jesus).

pan's labirynth is not "okay", it's **fucking wonderful.** and a true original.
