Sure has. I didn't even know he'd worked with alot of the bands on that list.
Anyone heard Purplene? They were from my hometown. Apparently Albini thought they were fuckin' cool and got them over to the states to record. They're on the list.

the shellac albums obviously.... the rapeman album big blacks atomizer pixies-surfer rosa breedersw- pod pigface -gub although i havent heard or seen my copy in eons wedding present- seamonsters- awesome album jesus lizards liar although he aint credited with that one nirvana- in utero pj harvey- rid of me melt banana- speak squeak creek arise therefore-palace bros flemish altruism- a minor forest ocean songs- dirty 3 don caballeros american don (not credited as engineer but property of electricla studios) xbxrx- gop is minee (not a great album but it sounds the buisiness) giddy motors- make it pop mclusky do dallas but moreso mcluskys the difference between you and me..... godspeed you black emporer- yanqui u.x.o. yourcodenameis:milo- all roads lead to fault (shit band, great couple of tracks on debut e.p.) mono- walking cloud and deep red sky.... and yo are there boxes- bad blood (great irish band) om- pilgrimage yes i had to check the list for reminders but my favourite non albini performed but engineered albini album is probably or maybe |

but please remember that Albini does not "produce" anything. he is a recording engineer.
Most "producersd" do nothing regarding production uyet they get a share of the royalties for the songs they record. albini sez FUCK a whole lot of that. he considers that a major rip off.

I was actually talkin about how rad Steve is today, Shellac, Big Black, and less so but Rapeman are all amazing bands, BB being one of my favortites ever. He produced the first Melt Bananna alblum, Squeak

Creak, his work with Neurosis (another of my favorites) was awesome as well. I duno hes done so much great shit, theres the obvious ones too pixies, nirvana, pj, just so much shit, and then the slew of underground bands who are mostly all great,
then a Bush song, hahah, still not bad, only one embarassing track out of all of em. |
