Well I went to pretty nasty comprehensive. lots of fights and bullying but never once saw a stabbing. A teacher got raped though. That was really heavy.

Damn. Maybe it's not more violent now, just has more media coverage. There were never stabbings at my schools. I remember seeing crime-scenes from stabbings at a nearby school, but that was an East L.A. suburb correctional school. Quite a different story.

i went to a middle class catholic school-- it was all boys, so we had fistfights and none of the catty crap women have to endure.

jump in, break someone's face, get your face broken, shake hands, everyone is friends again.

one time some dude showed up with some brass knuckles & as rumours spread he was "tranquilized" from the outside. swiftly.

I was talking to the daughter of a friend last night who told me that so many kids at her school now carry knives that she was thinking of carrying one herself. She was wearing a My Chemical Romance T Shirt. The day MCR fans start carrying knives is a sure sign that something, somewhere, has gone dramatically wrong.
