cannabis cultivation, like many common cereal crops and especially the common fruits, was originally cultivated in the areas of southern and central china.

further, perhaps the confusion is that to some historians and archeologists persepective, chinese are caucasions spread out from the Indus River valley region east just as they spread west into the mid east and europe.

at the least, the history of plants is rooted there for sure.

of course, the Horn of Africa is beginning to contend, there are varieties of food crops are believed to have also originated near china, however they have such tremendous diversity that it is not being assumed that perhaps they in fact originated in Africa and not the other way around.

Mind you, for three thousand years we have assumed that Semitic culture and language originated in Asia minor, however linguistic studies and archeology have no concluded that in fact Semitic culture originates in Ethiopia where there is the largest degree of semitic cultural and linguistic diversity.
