jpop is probably the only bad musical style coming out of japan nowadays. the uinderground scene is and has been killer for decades, but like anything else the japanese know how to make shit music better than anyone.

I just checked out Hanoi Team on youtube and have to say that from what I heard it's really not all that different from a lot of Euro-Pop (besides being sung in Japanese, obviously) and yet i rarely hear the same people championing JPop singing the praises of that. I mean is this all that different from what say Aqua are doing?
I'll agree that there's something quite unique about some of the Picopop I've heard, but stuff like Hanoi Team, i dunno. |
