Nefeli, I thought I recognised you at one point on saturday night, wasn't completely sure it was you at the time though.

Anyway, it was a really fun weekend. My highlights were: Growing, Six Organs of Admittance, Deerhoof, Sunn playing Monoliths and Dimensions (probably my favourite set of the weekedn as well), Mudhoney, and Lightning Bolt.

I'm gutted I missed Bardo Pond and Melvins

I only saw a few minutes of them, too short to really judge. But I can say that they really weren't what I needed right after seeing Shellac.

My highlights:

Shellac - they were playing two shows and both were oh so awesome. so tight. so funny.

Bardo Pond - maybe the only band who were just as good during the weekend compared to the In Between Days. MASSIVE.

Six Organs of Admittance - Good show. Wasn't in a good spot, but it sounded very good. Where did Elisa go? She was playing with them when I saw them 2 weeks earlier. Ah well, at least that meant that Chasny was playing all the solos.

Afrirampo were fun, much fun. Pity they were playing the Pavillion stage and clashing with OM.

Porn were really good, nice intro for Melvins.

Melvins were amazing, it took me ages to appreciate them (didn't like them the first 3 times I saw them), but since 2008 I'm a fan of their live shows.

SunnO))) - I thought I was completely done with these guys, but they won me over again with the Monoliths & Dimensions shows at ATP and in London the day after. What impressed me most was Atilla's throat singing (I noticed this even more at the London show). The Grimmrobes performance on Saturday seemed a lot more boring, but luckily I was already very drunk at that time (at 2:30 am).

Lots of fun dancing in Crazy Horse during both weekends.

Best dance tune in Crazy Horse: The Castaways - Liar Liar
I must have danced to that at least 4-5 times during the whole 10 days, it's officially my ATP song now.

Best random celebrity encounter:
Standing outside a friends' chalet and seeing King Buzzo walk down the stairs out of the chalet above. I shook his hand and mumbled something, he said thanks and see ya. It was a deep and meaningful exchange of thoughts.

random complaint:
The beer was too watery (I really noticed this with the first beer on the MBV weekend and then I just got used to it)
