In the scene just before Dino's "Freak Scene," J. Mascis and Kim Gordon play off of a scene from some other film--or, at least I read remarks to this effect long ago. What is the film/scene? Anyone know?
There's also a scene backstage where Kurt Cobain and Kim Gordon play off a scene from a Madonna film. Know that one? Thanks for yr help! |

- Freddy? - Yes, ma'am? - You lied. - What did I lie about? There was only industry people in the first two rows. - I didn't like that. - You said there wasn't gonna be any Hi. - You were great. - Thank you. Thanks for having us. It was really generous. - Thanks for coming. - We thought it was neat. - 'Neat?' - Really neat. No one's ever described it as that. (this is kevin costner saying 'neat' since it doesn't indicate) i can't think of quotes from the mascis scene to search -- is it the one w. punchline 'dreadlocks + pale skin'? it's supposed to be the scene w/ sandra bernhardt?

"Some guy set himself on fire since Uma's been gone"
I've always wondered about this, since there's also that line in the Dino song "Quicksand"... "I'm a twisted name in Uma's eyes/I'm living proof of Cindy's lies". I heard that it was Uma Thurman, but I don't know if I remember correctly from my teen years. |

Uma's dad was a professor at Amherst College when she was growing up. Which is also where J lived/grew up.
