Modern Painters magazines July/August issue "theme" is bridging music and art. There is a small piece on Kim in it and others like devendra banhart and nick zinner.

I saw this recently in the Hayward Gallery shop, but the Kim part of the article was too small and the price too high to make it worth buying. It didn't stop me from standing and reading it though, and it was quite interesting.

It was largely about Kim's work with Jutta Koether from what I remember - "The Club in the Shadow" and "Reverse Karaoke".
Message for Porkmarras - Do us a favour will you, pop up to the Hayward Gallery shop, memorise the article, and then post it on here. Thanks mate. |

the interview is quite interesting, she talks about the influence of visual arts on herself and the band, and how she sees the band as an entity in the art world. she also ellaborates on some of the choices for cover artwork on albums over the past. its a nice little interview, but its only like half a page long, so dont bother buying the mag. just read it in the shop...
