Personally, and as much as I love many post-DDN records, I've come to believe that after Sister the point was already made perfectly. Not saying that's a bad thing, I mentioned they made some great records post-80s.
Those records simply don't seem to be that seminal in retrospect. |

Interesting how in live situations the band often goes back and plays 80's era songs (plus 100% and Bull in the Heather, maybe a few other Goo/Dirty ones) but not really any newer-but-not-from-current-album songs. I havn't actually trolled through every set list to verify this, and I'm sure people will post them to disprove my point, but that is my intuitive sense of the pattern.
