Like, the first four songs still hold up, but of those only High & Dry really sounds timeless. And even if sounds dated, though it’s amazing. Street Spirit (Fade Out) sounds the most like future Radiohead.

I dunno. No hate on the bends but as time goes by it sounds more and more like embryonic Radiohead in comparison to the albums that I listen to most, which are probably Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows.

It was a big deal when it came out. Critically and within the UK mainstream/indie crossever realm

Here in the States, it led to them opening for REM on the Monster tour. It’s the only time I’ve seen Radiohead......and they pretty much played the album:

September 1995
My Iron Lung
High and Dry
Planet Telex
Anyone Can Play Guitar
Just
Street Spirit (Fade Out)
Creep
Fake Plastic Trees
The Bends

Side A is classic and a direct catalyst for, Ok Computer and Airbag / How Am I Driving?

I remember. Hah. That’s the album that got me into Radiohead and it was my favorite album of all time throughout much of junior high and high school.
