I'm not impressed with it, but I like it. I'm usually in the mood for the slower songs. "Just Abondoned My-Self" is to me what "Diamond Sea" is to others. It's more repetitive than that song in the 2nd half, but dammit, it repeats the right shit. And it doesn't sound that long. Maybe the first half feels long, if only because I really want to hear the 2nd half. I wish the CD track listing were similar to the Vinyl's. It's a smarter order. Like, why begin the album with something like Farewell and then follow it up with three faster songs? I'm surprised by how American this sounds (even the singer sounds Emo). Not sure if I'm hearing anything new. Not sure if I have the proper speakers for this either, dammit. I'd definitely like to hear one of their more consistent releases. Anything like JAM would be cool.

My favorite of rockier songs is "Nothing Special".

of course, this album's good. up there with boris's best (though my favorites are the absolutely amazing "amplfiier worship" and "flood).

I remember downloading it randomly when it was leaked (I'd never heard of them) and listening to it. That was one of those few albums that just made me think, "Holy FUCK I need more of this!" Definitely a life-changing day for me when I first listened to it.
