If you beg a little more than that, they might play it in your bedroom too. Just make sure that you have enough tea and biscuits stocked in the kitchen cupboards.

SY won't play DDN in NYC. They hate NYC. Steve Shelley has all the east facing windows on his house blacked out so he can't see the Manhattan skyline, he hates the place so much. So they won't play DDN in NYC. OK?

I thought that's where Lee lives? And steve takes the secret sonic transport machine a.k.a. the magical glass elevator.

I hope that's not the case. They might just be waiting to find a particular opening at an ideal venue. Who knows? Probably no need to announce too far in advance, since it would likely sell out very quickly. |

I'm guessing the Palace Theatre on 175th Street. Two shows.

Summer Stage is a likely choice but it's a bad one. Great location but the decibel level law is painful. The McCaren Pool is nice for outdoor. Or do a double bill with the stooges and do it at Keyspan Park in Coney ISLAND

summerstage is a horrible venue - besides the offensive racist body searches - its a cool idea its free but the fucking fences need to be taken the hell down. Warsaw would be a fine venue they could play (maybe with a custom sound system, the Warsaw house PA is kinda ratty).
ou kids who went to the Pool, were they searching for recorders etc? |

I was at the pool show; it was great. I'd love to see Daydream played there!

been to summerstage once, '02 when sy played...i wanted to murder dj
monolake...anyway... my main beef was, if you were standing on thurston's side, you couldn't hear lee. check the boot of that show..."TURN UP LEE!" and while i can name other club shows where lee's vox wasn't as prominent in the mix as i would have liked, fuck, at least i could hear it. when patrick asked me about that gig one of the first things i said was, "you ever heard sy do the 'eric's trip' instrumental live? 'cause i did." went to both pool gigs...very nice environment and sounded good, but we'd have to get there earlier if they do a ddn gig there. heh.
