Krush Groove is a cheesy rap movie from 1985, starring Run-DMC, Fat Boys, Rick Rubin and others. In the closing scene, I noticed you can see Rick Rubin in the background wearing a Husker Du T-shirt. Very cool, and quite unexpected!

I had a dream I was in some store that had an abundance of old Husker Du promo shirts...this thread made me remember it.

Not too unexpected for Rick Rubin, since he was in a band called Hose who sought to become the east coast's answer to Flipper, and Flipper is a west coast punk/HC icon, arguably as important as a stylistic influence as anyone on SST Records in the early 80's, and although Hüsker Dü was Midwest, just being on SST made you iconic on the west coast, so that's basically no more than one degree of separation there between Rick Rubin's favorite band circa 1982 and Hüsker Dü.

Seeing the Fat Boys do their "promo" for their track "All You Can Eat" is still one of my favourite trash cinema moments.
Rick Rubin? Husker Du? Word!
