A nice companion to the threads where you can list all of the bands you've seen. I'm looking for places where you've seen "professional" gigs for which at least some attempt at advertising was made, leaving out such things as local bands playing at someone's loft/basement/house/etc. for free. Also, I've left out places where I've seen only local/regional bands, but if others want to include them, fine and dandy.

One more addition to my initial post:
Live At The Ludlow Garage, Cincinnati, Ohio This place is in the same building as an old hippie music club called simply Ludlow Garage, which was open from about 1968 to sometime in 1971. I was too young to have gone to the old club but from what I understand, it was very different from the new one. I would elaborate but I'm getting tired of typing. |

Cool! Love Columbus. I've never seen a show at the Wexner Center but like you, I really miss Little Brothers, as well as Stache's. It seems like most of the venues I've seen shows at in Columbus are defunct. So if anyone has a current venue in Columbus they really hate, for a reasonable fee, expenses and the cost of my ticket, I will attend a show at said venue. Before you know it, it will close! |

!!! I had no idea. I used to live there and have seen countless shows at both places. Stache's in particular is semi-legendary. Was. Is Bernie's still around? Total shit pit, but that's why I liked it. I don't even recognize a lot of those Columbus venues. Geez, it's only been a decade. |

Bernie's is one of those places I always had plans to see a show at but for various reasons never did. I did see the space once during an afternoon when they didn't have a show--long story I don't feel like repeating here. In any event, I don't think the place is still open but I'm not sure. What's Bernie's status, d. sound? |

Almost went to a We Were Promised Jetpacks show there while down visiting family several years ago. Did not go, but sort of regret it. Checking it out online, I remember thinking it seemed like a pretty cool setup for a venue with lots of character to the building itself. |

It was nothing special. A bar, a small floor, a small stage. 100 person capacity? But it was punk as fuck. Once I went into bathroom. Dude was puking. When he was done, I asked if he was alright. He gave me a thumbs up, then walked to stage. It was the singer of the next band. For some insane reason, Beck played there for free right after Odelay. It was a madhouse. Surprised no one died. |

they have touring shows upstairs and local shows downstairs. The place was sold and refitted a few years back, better PA. This was the first place REM performed at when they came to HOuston in 1983 I think...
