are there any good alternatives? I always have problems with it, specifically with it loading MORE than I asked, like it says 101% loaded with 46.88 of 46.38 MB... that's just strange to me.

Mediafire timed out with me when I was uploading. It's on par with sendspace, with megaupload in second and badongo third for me. Yousendit was the pioneering site, but it's really sold out.
