new Richard Edson Travelers Insurance commercial atari 2600
Posted: 05.03.2007, 06:59 PM just saw it
Quote:
A second spot features actor Richard Edson (making his commercial debut) as a character named "Risk" who, while ambling through a city at night, causes mishaps wherever he goes. In one scene, his name is revealed as a tattoo across his fingers. A voiceover concludes: "Risk never sleeps. Fortunately, neither does a great insurance company."
Referencing the full text from the link above, the Travelers recent "snowball" commercial is fairly well-known, and the other one mentioned must be the new one with the rabbit's feet dealie. I thought it was pretty creepy.
I liked the Edson one though.

Oh goodie, you found the youtube link. I looked for it initially too, and it wasn't to be found just yet at the time. I sort of feel like I am this "Risk" character today. I'll tell you why. I've been getting only six hours of rest every night for the past week and was hoping I'd sleep in this morning. I wake up early to take a piss, and this one bathroom is flooded with backed-up sewage. This happens every year in the Spring. It was explained to me before that this neighborhood is an older one and many of the pipes and such are ceramic ones. When there is a lot of vegetative growth going on, the roots invade the pipes to the extent that a rooter has to be called-in. Instead of just going back to bed, I bail all the water out. When it's mostly finished, I slam my back door. Ooops! I slam it too hard and the glass breaks out of the door. So, I grab a tape measure and figure out what size pane I'm going to have to buy. As I'm carefully picking out one of the shards from the bottom of the pane, the top of my hand gets nicked by a piece of glass. Exactly what I was trying to avoid. Now, I have an open wound. Which is just fantastic considering that there's all this raw sewage around. There's no band-aids in the house, so I have a piece of guaze on it with medical tape wrapped around my hand. So, the rooter guy will be over soon. I dread this. I have hours and hours of listening to his incredibly loud machine to look forward to. Oh, and I got to fix the glass on the door too. You just know the rooter guy is gonna think I punched-out the glass with my hand. Well, who gives a damn what he thinks. The last time he was here last year he kept talking about how great he thinks Bush is. Yeah, this is a wonderful day! |
