Vinyl reissues for Y and For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder are in the works according to Mark Stewart's Twitter, along with a new album which will be interesting...
Can't wait to get the reissues because both albums are pretty pricey on that format at the moment so it's great they are getting the reissue treatment, these guys are probably one if not my favourite group from the post-punk era. They are still terrific live as well, they were pretty phenomenal at ATP in December. |

That would be cool, my copy of For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder is literally unplayable, I've played it too many times over 30 years...bear with my nostalgia, I bought this on my first trip to Boston, must've been 1982, I was visiting my friend Chris to go see Rainbow and Pat Travers at the Orpheum and he took me to the original Newberry Comics, which was literally an apartment on Newberry St that was turned into a comic and record store. I bought this lp there that day. Its still a mind fuck, but in 82 was unbelievable.

a new record....seems fitting given that stewart said something along the lines of it not being right until we as a species descended into truly dire times. happy days.

The records are fairly expensive in the UK around £30 each and yeah the Pop Group were always one of the best overtly political bands, we could do with a new record.
