I have now listened all his albums & I must admit I have had a wrong opinion about his music. All of his albums are just great! (well only exception is Road to Escondido. And I think it´s just Clapton´s fault. Even most of the songs are Cale´s, I think Clapton has been in the lead of the whole album. I think he´s the one who liked to be in lead, not Cale, so the album sounds as boring as the Clapton´s after seventies albums).
I really love Cale´s minimalist mountain blues! This is the great ending of his career (last song of his last album): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBRFsoEgJys |
