I have the same problem with the free version of Limewire everytime I download and install it. It works the first few times, then 3 days later or so, I type in a search, nothing. Restart computer, try a search, nothing comes up. Uninstall limewire, reinstall limewire, restart computer, try a search, nothing. Almost like it's not connected but I'm running an explorer window with youtube right next to it. This is not the first time this exact same thing has happened. Does it have some sort of secret evaulation expiration? Please help

Uh, just ditch limewire. The free version comes with spyware. Torrents ftw. But if you're into the p2p thing I suggest soulseek instead.

Limewire has the most trackers too of any of the p2p programs. Big Brother RIAA will be on your ass like butter on toast.

limewire works fine if you have a mac, but you're not going to be able to find anything real obscure. but you're basically asking to get fucked if you use windows anyway.
all they do if they bust you is send you a "cease and desist" letter. i reccommend solarseek (mac) or soulseek (pc)

If you can't find it on Soulseek, you shouldn't listen to it.

It's mostly serious. I mean, I've never not been able to find something on Soulseek eventually. C'mon, even most of the Scissor Shock discog is on there. True, it's not the best for .flac live shows or DVD video. But for mostly anything else it can't be beat.

If you like Limewire, go to the software search and download a pro version of it with a key.

I know soulseek and all those are better. I just want to know how to get around that problem on limewire. Has anyone else had that problem? Also I'm one of those people that doesn't like to use torrents

Same thing on my laptop. It hates soulseek. Soulseek just won't connect on there and I tried everything.

I had the same trouble with Soulseek once or twice with my other laptop. One time I reinstalled the software, the other time I had to chance the listening port.

that's what every computer to which I have access does with limewire. installs it fine, works first few times, then just won't connect. with the others soul seek and stuff, won't even install. Just gives an error message. Ares is lethal virus laden filth by the way |
