Hi - I'm searching for a SY 'Family Tree' - I believe I've seen one in the past but can't turn it up anywhere - has anyone run across something like this? There is one that lists the internal personell changes within the band, but I'm looking more for one that focuses on our influences and also those bands we, in turn, influenced. If anyone stumbles on anything of this sort, would you please post it here?
Thanks ~ Lee HAPPY NEW YEAR to all Sonic people! |

The "internal' family tree is this one, a bit outdated now! Any suggestions/corrections/additions, feel free to add below! I suppose 'post-SY' additions should be added for at some point, as well as Harry Crews, Male Slut, Text of Light, Glacial Trio, etc...:

Plus instruments?
I don't think I've ever seen an influences family tree, but would be curious to see one of it ever turned up. I've often wondered what it would be like when a musician first starts to encounter other music they have influenced. |

I'd imagine the influences tree would be utterly enormous. Countless bands and musicians I've read or heard how they were influenced by Sonic in some way or another.

As would the family tree once you get to the 90s and start including all the improv stuff, side bands and guesting on other people's albums
