I was just thinking about this last night and couldn't really think of an easy answer. If SY ever do make it in there what musicians do you think should be the ones to induct them ? who were heavily influenced by SY enough to talk about this phenomenal band and possibly do a few of their songs before they hit the stage.

A couple people spring to mind. Iggy Pop, Beck, Patti Smith, Malkmus, Pixies, Husker Du...
I don't know, do the people who introduce inductees really come from before that band's time or after it? I think Iggy would be the best. If none of those people are available, maybe Madonna can come out and play Catholic Block. That would be sweet |

I think Patti Smith would be a really good choice. I could totally see her writing a poem about SY and reciting it as her induction speech.

I think Mike Watt would be great, but I could see David Bowie doing it as well (he's a big fan)

This will sound totally bad, but the hall of fame like eddie vedder alot and i could see him being one to introduce them.
i would prefer iggy or mike.

I think they generally try to have someone who is either in the hall of fame or potentially could be someday. As much as I would love Mike Watt, he probably lacks the starpower (no pun intended) for the hall to select him. David Bowie or Neil Young might be OK, since they are both big fans. From what I've read, SY had some rough times on tour with Neil Young, so that might not be the best choice, although SY seemed to respect Neil himself.

they'd probably pick someone no one cares about. Like Bono!

Johnny Rotten would be the humorous choice
but realistically it would be Lou Reed |
