People have gushed plenty about this band here over the years.
Personally, I like Harsh 70s Reality, but that's about it. |

I'm one of the chief gushers I think...
gush, gush, gush. Future Artists was my No1 album of 2007.

I like the one side project Gate. I like that performance on youtube, but the Dead C albums I've listened to aren't as awesome as that.

i recommend you track down some bootlegs, they are massive! |

I'd like to get a Dead C album. As for them being better than any other band from New Zealand, what about The Verlaines, The Gordons, The Clean? The Verlaines my favourite New Zealand band.

There's so many great NZ bands and actors which are labelled "Ozzie" by us. We steal them and claim them as our own.

I think it happens more to actors, but yeah definately in the case of the Finns. Evermore are called Australian a lot, not that it bothers me because I couldn't care less about them.

amazing band, like many people have said many times on this board.
I recorded them in london a couple of years ago. I just checked my badongo and the link still works if anyone's interested: http://www.badongo.com/file/2069908 |

Vain, Erudite and Stupid is a great compilation for the uninitiated. Talk about the real world.

That double lp DR503 reissue from last year fucking blew my mind. Polio might just be one of the best esoteric/noisey rock tracks ever!
