The Fall all the way... but actually in all honesty you can't really compare them with any credibility, they originated in different era's and have completely different aesthetics... they are however from the same part of the country.
But what the hell... I'm no party pooper.

I sort of predicted that The fall would beat the Smiths big time here.
I just have a friend that's much into Smiths, so I wanted to make him feel bad ;-))) I'm an asshole, y'know?

Fallgruppe, of course. There's a lot to be said about The Smiths (they were astoundingly good), but in any MES vs MOZ match-up, MES's 'folk festival boys' win out every time.

That's kind of tuff for me. I'll say The Fall because I can listen to them pretty much anytime, but I have to be in a certain mood to listen to The Smiths even though I love them.

The Smiths write great fucking songs.
They are equals I say, but I voted the smiths because I do not know much FALL material. Morrissey is my favorite british lyricist of all time. They shake and they move me something. they're like jellyroll like sculpture..

This was close. I went for the Smiths mostly for Bigmouth Strikes Again, but I don't like any Smiths album as a whole barring The Queen Is Dead.
But I heart The Fall.
