Anyone know this band? It's a really noisy Minneapolis duo, their sounds alternates between noise, shoegaze, drone, ambient, indus... I just ordered their first album, The Patron (released on Kranky), I can't wait to have it in my hands (in like two or three weeks).

I'm pretty sure people know this band... they've been mentioned a lot on here.

But yeah, they're good. A bit too much clanging and banging at times underneath the beautiful vocals. But all in all it's some good stuff. Destined to be overrated.

I dig them. Nice vocals, a bit repetitive in their song writing process but Patron is a solid release.

I used to play drums/guitar/keys with and tour with them... solid folks.

The Patron is great, but it's only their first release on Kranky. Hit up their MySpace and you'll be able to find the Retire Early EP, the split 7" with Cristal (I play on that one), and I think makr's still got plenty of the Harm Stryker split 7"s left.

i like this band a lot, more testament to the fact that kranky is more consistently giving the world more great music than any other label goim (all apologies to southern lord, load, skin graft, warp, def jux, hydra head, etc...)
