Anybody who read the Landlord thread knew I was gonna buy something. I ended up trading in my Russian Big Muff and getting the Vextor version (not hand painted: cheaper) Fuzz Factory.
This is seriously the best distortion device I've ever played. It's so versatile; it can do really insane synthetic Atari like sounds or natural sounding high gain distortion. Great for noise making or straight ahead rockin'. Highly recommended. |

I'm going to get a fuzz factory eventually I think. I'm not sure though.

Well, it was $165 total (the handpainted ones are around $230). I got $30 something for the Muff and paid a little over $40 out of my pocket still (with of course the $100 my landlord gave me).
They might be cheaper around here since Zvex is in the Twin Cities area, I'm not sure though. Sure, I could have bought something more practical like socks, but FUCK IT! |

165 is pretty good for a new one.
There is so much I want to do for my pedal board but money just comes in so slowly for me. |

Wel in that case i'd love to hear yr band's new recordings.
I almost bought the Zvex wah but it's weird cause it reponded to the distance from the pedal instead of the sweep i know it sounds weird :s.

I tried out a few different ones today. I know what you are talking about with the wah, since I tried the Fuzz Probe. The Probes are cool since it's like a theramin in that way.
I also tried the Ring Tone ring modulator. I think it's a neat idea how it's set up (check the video on their page if you haven't seen this), but my Moogerfooger sounds better to me for nearly a hundred dollars less. |

I have had one for about 4 years. Lots of fun there. Pretty brutal fuzz; cuts through anything.

I've had one of the painted ones for a while now, and it is pretty awesome. I find i need a normal distortion in my chain as well,(which is my RAT at the moment) b/c the fuzz can be a tad unruly at times. but that's what's special. thanks for the sample settings above. and congrats.

Z Vex is going to be releasing the Box Of Rock distortion pedal sometime in the future. It's supposed to be awesome...

I'll have to check out some of those Zvex pedals. They sound pretty good. $130 bucks is still kinda pricey for a fuzz box, though even for one as allegedly versatile as this one.
