I really shouldn't own this record, but let's call it a sick fascination. It's rubbish, but rubbish in a scary and compelling way.

Khanate. Listening to them in the dark and really focusing on the music can be really rattle your emotions, but what a great , great band.
Also Jim O'Rourke has some pretty out there stuff in his lyrics (Halfway to a threeway).

For sure! I really need to get Insignificance and Eureka sometime. Jim's such a genius. His lyrics are terribly insane too! Haha, yeah it wouldn't be something to let your kids see, especially if they're young and easily influenced by pictures

"ELL. ELL. ELL. ELL. AY. AY. AY. AY."
The Fall have loads of those moments. "Strife. Knot. Strife K-NOT". And, seeing as there's an Industrial strain floating about, I'd like to add TG's Weeping and Hamburger Lady to the list.

Can't say that the score to Deep Red disturbs me that much but it is a pretty awesome film. |
