If Liverpool can milk the Beatles fuck it, let Aberdeen have its fun, its not like they've had anything else even remotely going for them in the past 50 years

don't understand why a melvins roadie gets so much attention. should be celebrating the band themselves.

Krist became a political activist, and Dave became the biggest corporate adult-contempo "rocker" on the planet. Fucking Foo Fighters are everything that Nirvana was not.
If they had killed themselves too then we would be celebrating all of them. They missed out. I bet Kurt is having a great time experiencing nothing, engaged in a constant state of non-existance

While I agree in part, lets not forget that even the band tipped their cap in Kurt's direction when it came to the logistics of song-writing. Also, Kurt is dead, Dave and Krist are alive and doing well (I guess) so I think peoples' natural inclination is to remember Kurt. I agree we shouldn't forget Dave or Krist, but I don't think anybody really did. Ok.. maybe they forgot Krist for a long time, but I think the dude quietly wanted that.

I think Kurt would have thrown up Thai food in Grohl's face when that Mentos commercial first aired.

Have you guys seen the horrid statue of Kurt crying that Aberdeen has erected? http://noisey.vice.com/blog/kurt-cob...-crying-statue
Maybe it was made by the same lame-ass shit sculptor that made this horrendous Stevie Ray Vaughn statue in Austin.

He has become Jesus in Aberdeen, weeping for their redneck sins.. Also, whoa, that statue supposedly of SRV looks more like Goodluck Jonathon, the president of Nigeria who looks more like Eek-a-Mouse than the president of the 10th most populous nation on earth

Can we all at least be grateful that a statue of SRV can't actually play the guitar and perpetuate the legacy of misery?
I suppose a few lawyers with awful hobby bands wish it were different, but fuck those guys. |
