On Saturday my g/f and I watched Jacob's Ladder, a film I have seen many times, and which she had seen just once when she was under 17. She said she did not get it when she was younger.
of course the movie is greeat and disturbing and fucked up and scary and just fucks with yr emotions and mind in that oh so awesome way that only great fucking horror can do to you.
It really fucked up my g.f though . I think it trigerred some deep depression, some deep sorrow inside her. we talked about it all night.

Has anyone slee been affected by this movie? It fucks me up everytime I watch it,a nd I had not seen it in ten years.

I think it may be one of the greatest movies ever. Just My opinion.

the part where Jacob runs a 106 fever is fucking INSANE

when iw as 12/13 I ran a 103+ fever and my father had to put me ion the tub with tons of ice and I felt like the ice was burningme, and I know exactly what Jacob felt at that moment.

when i was i think 15 there was a special showing of pink floyd's "the wall" in some obscure theatre, so 2 of my friends and i took the bus & watched the thing.

on the way back we all walked 50 city blocks on the way back home without saying a word.

I felt like crying towards the end of David Croenenberg's "Dead Ringers", as I felt that behind the bizarreness and horror, there was a real sadness and tragedy to the story. That touched/affected me for quite a while afterwards.

ohhh, the first time i saw texas chainsaw massacre, i felt my skin crawling and i was speachless until a few minutes after the movie ended.

one of my favorites ever.

My first girlfriend's obsession with A Place In Time was a minor contributing factor in my breaking up with her. It was her favorite movie, and she used some of the lines that the chick uses on Christopher Reeves on me, which made me slightly puke in my mouth.

Jacob's Ladder is pretty cool, didn't really affect me.

Have to agree with Melly.. Dead Ringers affected me. So did Dead Zone. Movies where I really cared about the characters to an extreme degree.

More recently, the end of Violent Cop fucked me up.

I love that flick, Jacob's Ladder - I haven't watched it in years.
Akira actually messed with my head. I watched it over and over - about five times in the first weekend that I saw it.

others in that category are Videodrome, and when I was a kid, Time Bandits really made me think in ways differently than I had before. When I was a kid Altered States weirded me out - now I think that flick sucks. It has too much of a hippie ending. The Meaning of Life helped me along in questioning religion.

The Wall was just entertainment to me - no mind fucking.
