That page also has samples of 3 songs. Heard snippets of Kool Thing and Candle and.... I'm not convinced

I see those all the time but have never heard one. Interesting.
I wonder if any violins were harmed in the making of that record. If not, I don't want it. |

I've heard a few of the string tribute things, but not SY. Theyre usually pretty decent. Theres this one group called the Section Quartet that does covers like those(they may or may not be the ones that make those tributes) that has played at Coachella twice now and I saw them both times. Theyre pretty fun to watch.

Heard this a while back. It sounds very similar to the actual songs. As in you know what song you're hearing straight away. Not bad. Interesting idea.

I bought the bluegrass tribute to Green Day. Funniest album ever. Well worth the 12 dollars.

My God there's bloody thousands of the buggers. I can't help but feel that they're churning these out for the obsessive collectors/ ironic wankers that would buy this kind of gack...
Having said that, I'm getting the SY one of slsk.

The SOAD one is pretty interesting! Im not sure the SY one is pulled off that well actually (from what i've heard anyway) its very difficult to do SY songs justice without destroying your instruments! Also a very strange choice of tracks..Diamond sea would have made an amazing string piece. I think a full orchestral version would have been better! Anyway, got to be an interesting listen at the very least

They did one for Metallica.
The SY one is pretty cool. I wish they could have done something instead of Superstar, they should have gone with Diamond Sea.

That's actually kind of awesome. I'm seriously (dorkily) into classical music so this is pretty exciting.
