Inspired by the prehistoric shark known to you all, I watched this documentary (the BBC produced one), and I thought:
"Why the deeper you go in the ocean, the strangest the creatures get? And why there are amazingly elegant, simple and beautiful creatures and HORRID, "complex" monsters??? Mboh! Did any of you guys study this section of animal evolution? I don't feel like wiki-google it and I wanted to share my thoughts. I'm tired, forgive me.

the environmet down there is insanely different from the one we klive in
the water pressure alone is crushing. there is a lack of light, and food supplies are ussually whatever floats down from above. meaning dead. or feces. creatures that develop bioluminescence thrive down there. coffin fish large deep sea crab

there are really horrid creatures like this
angler fish and amazingly "simmetric" and shiny jellyfishes... I wonder WHY these are beautiful and the angler fish (but that's just an example) is a real monster...I mean, WHY it's so ugly? Couldn't it be a bit more "aestethically pleasant"?? Again, mboh.

actually the documentary includes just a few minutes of "deep waters' " footage, it's about the sea in its entirety...
I still can't understand why an animal should have, say, such messed up teeth instead of better jaws, like sharks... I know it depends on what an animal eats, but those deep abyss' monsters teeth look just senseless....
