Might be of interest to any forum musicians, a new US guitar amplifer which the manufacturer has created with Lee Ranaldo.
https://www.premierguitar.com/articl...do-club-review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-h0TSmps7Q Has a bit of visual similarity to the fender amp which I remember seeing on stage a few times. |

$1,500 ?!?! for solid state amp even if its 220W... that's alot, ZT make great stuff but for that money i'd still go for a tube amp, because you can still find decent vintage well built Fender silver face tube amps in the 15W to 40W range for that kinda money.

Nice amp for sure, and I think solid state amps sound pretty good these days so I wouldn’t hesitate use a decent solid state amp.

That is indeed true but when using any sort of drive pedals i have been unsuccessful to get the punch and warmth using any solid state amp vs tube amp. the newer solid state amps don't sound as sterile or dry as the ones that have been made in the past but when kicking in a fuzz, overdrive or distortion they all still sound like a blanket is being tossed over the speaker.

I get what you’re saying, but I think it comes down to testing our different combinations. Some tube amps sound great with a good germanium Fuzz Face, but many do not. Same thing with tonebenders. Likewise I wouldn’t expect what works best with my Music Man to work best with a JCM 800, or a Roland Jazz Chorus. |
