If I'm not mistaken, you can see the Chrysler building and Empire State building on the left side of the scarecrow in the distance.

I always assumed it was Hoboken, it looks that grim.. but Tokolosh is right, there's the Empire State and Chrysler buildings.

well its my second favourite album cover after Daydream Nation. That Richter painting is one of my favourite paintings. I would like to see SY return to making iconic, haunting album covers again.

my buddy is working as a photo assistant to the photographer who took that shot. i forget the dude's name at the moment. he's in LA now, UCLA photo dept. head i think. our other friend studied photo w/ barbara ess from Y Pants too. so in the kevin bacon game, i am three degrees seperated from SY i guess...
