It be nice to get some Jap influence at Bonnaroo since I bought my ticket last week. That's one element that has been missing from the lineup with the exception of dj Krush one year. I'll be at the Sat Asheville show.

I bought a ticket to the NYC show but only to see the Bardo Pond/Kahoutek combo band opener...I've seen AMT a couple times and I know what to expect; I don't plan to stay for their full set.

Crazies!
I've seen AMT on six different occasions (tomorrow makes seven) and each time was better than the last. They are far and away my favorite live act.

You guys are definitely crazy.
AMT melted my mind once again last night. Every time I see them I can't stop smiling for days. No other band does that. The new singer is great, btw.

I spotted Kawabata (or at the very least an impersonator) at the Tokyo-Narita airport. He was paying for something at a cafe/resturaunt. Looked splendid, complete with a trench coatish/robe apparatus and bunny slippers. Makes sense because I saw him towards the middle of march.

I was blown away while on caps in Asheville Sat. Never realized how much drone was in some of the music until I stood there in a trance for several songs. It was a lot of the stuff they normally play but it never ceased to amaze. And the sense of humor and character/stage presence of all the band members is constanly entertaining. The drummer looked like someone you would see in a back alley shop in China Town selling Gremlins. I also liked how they switched up "Pink Lady Lemonade" from guitar to almost a keyboard synthasized trance. Anyway, it was a great show.
