Any fans here?
My faves are Neon Genesis Evangelion, Akira, Ghost In The Shell, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL (Fooly Cooly)...pretty much all the ones that have aired on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block. |

Yea, the ones mentioned are good... the rest on adult swim is kinda bunky tho.
FLCL is one of my favorites alongside champloo and bebop... but that's about as far as my anime lking goes... tho I have seen legen of the overfiend once.... banned in america and really fucked up.

Bebop used to be my favorite, but it's been taken over by Samurai Champloo.
Last Exile, FMPF?, Genshiken, Speed Grapher, Crest Of The Stars, Gankutsuou. I've got a bunch from the winter/fall season I haven't had a chance to watch, yet: Black Cat, Blood+, Cluster Edge, Solty Rei, Jigokou Shoujo, Noein, Gun Sword. I'm going to limit myself to just Ergo Proxy and maybe Black Lagoon for the spring. |

I'm not up to the latest anime stuff. I'm not really sure any of the lastest stuff has been all that great that its gathered much attention. I know there was a "Ghost in the Shell" two that came out a couple years back. Haven't seen it. "Akira" is and always will be the ultimate anime film though I think.

I've only seen Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop and Neon Genesis Evangelion. I remember watching one of the Neon Genesis Evangelion movies on television and being completely confused. I should have watched the series first.

I'm not a huge fan of anime but i like that show FLCL. It's bizarre as fuck with robots coming out of people's heads and fighting with guitars. Plus, the music form the series is really good, it introduced me to one of my new favorite bands the pillows.

Never read any, but I've thought about getting some Bebop stuff at one point; can't remember what changed my mind.

I thought NGE was pretty great. Especially the alternate ending film "End of Evangelion" is partly quite brutal and dark stuff.
But I'm more interested in manga really. |

I just recently saw "Ghost In The Shell 2 Innocence", & it blew me away. But, right now I'm watching the series, "Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex".
Other favorites are: Paranoia Agent X FLCL Akira (& more)

All of Satoshi Kon's work is amazing; Perfect Blue, Millenium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers and Paranoia Agent. He also has a new film coming out, Paprika, about a dream detective and it looks like it's gonna be awesome.
